• Parents or legal guardians who create and manage accounts

Dream with Rio does not permit children to create or manage accounts on their own.

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide a safe and personalized experience.

We use collected data solely for the purpose of delivering safe, personalized storytelling experiences:

• To generate stories tailored to your child's profile
• To store and display your family's story history
• To provide technical support and improve app performance
• To send service-related updates and parental tips (only with consent)
• To comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse or fraud

We never sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

• We require verifiable parental consent before collecting any child-related data
• Parents can review, edit, or delete their child's profile information anytime through the parent dashboard
• Parents can also request complete account deletion by contacting us

We comply fully with COPPA and equivalent child privacy laws worldwide:

• We do not collect any personal data directly from children
• We do not use cookies or tracking for targeted advertising
• We do not disclose a child's data to third parties
• Stories generated using a child's profile remain private to the parent's account
• All content and interactions are designed to be safe, age-appropriate, and non-commercial

We use secure cloud infrastructure (e.g., Supabase, AWS, or Azure) with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL).

Our safeguards include:

• Role-based data access control
• Regular security reviews and compliance checks
• Anonymization of analytics data
• No unencrypted transfer of personal data

If any data breach occurs, we will promptly notify affected users and authorities as required by law.

Because we serve families globally, your data may be stored on servers located outside your home country.

In all such cases, we ensure adequate data protection through:

• Standard Contractual Clauses (under GDPR)
• Compliance with PDPA (Singapore) and DPDP (India)
• and equivalent international safeguards

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy:

• Account data: retained until you delete your account
• Story data: retained as part of your active account history
• Transaction data: retained for accounting and compliance purposes
• Deleted data: securely removed from backups within 90 days

We partner only with reputable third parties that comply with global privacy standards:

• Stripe – for secure payment processing (we never store full payment details)
• OpenAI / Azure Cognitive Services – for story and audio generation (temporary use only, no personal storage)
• Supabase – for authentication, data storage, and encrypted hosting

All third parties are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and lawfully.

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal or your child's data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Request data portability
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Dream with Rio does not use tracking cookies or targeted advertising.

We may use essential cookies for authentication and session management, which you can disable through your browser settings (though some app features may not work properly without them).
